How Our Lab Retort Machine Works

In the process of product sterilization, we first put the product into a basket and send it to the sterilization retort, and then close the retort door tightly. In order to ensure safe operation, the cauldron door adopts a four-fold safety interlocking mechanism. The retort door will remain mechanically locked tightly throughout the sterilization process. Next, select the appropriate sterilization method through the operation screen and download the relevant formula to the PLC for verification. Once confirmed, the sterilization program can be started and the system will automatically operate according to the preset sterilization formula.

The multifunctional lab retort is a high-efficiency sterilization equipment that combines multiple sterilization methods such as water immersion, steam, spray and rotation to meet different experimental needs.

Steam sterilization uses steam to directly heat the product. After the sterilization process is completed, you can choose to use cold water to directly cool the product, or you can achieve indirect cooling through a heat exchanger.

The water immersion sterilization process is to completely immerse the product in water, and use water as a sterilization medium to transfer heat to heat and sterilize the product. The hot water is recycled to the upper tank after sterilization, and cold water is used to quickly lower the product temperature. This method ensures that the product is heated evenly during the sterilization process, product can be cooled quickly and evenly after sterilization, thereby maintaining stable product quality.

Spray sterilization technology is an advanced sterilization method. Its core is to use nozzles to convert a small amount of process water into an atomized state and spray it evenly on the product surface. This atomized water can circulate quickly and transfer heat effectively, thereby achieving rapid heating of the product. In order to keep the temperature of the product stable during the sterilization process, we use the spiral wound heat exchanger developed by DTS for indirect cooling. This design ensures that the sterilization process is carried out within a precisely controlled temperature range, thereby improving the sterilization effect and product quality.

The unique 360° rotation function can be used with a variety of sterilization processes to meet the sterilization needs of high-viscosity ready-to-eat meals, porridge, evaporated milk or bird's nest products.

Working Principle

After the sterilization process is completed, the sterilization retort will automatically send a completion signal. At this time, the retort door can be opened and the materials can be unloaded. To ensure safe operation, the retort is equipped with a four-fold safety interlocking mechanism. When there is pressure in the retort, the retort door cannot be opened. In addition, the uniformity of temperature distribution inside the sterilization retort is accurately controlled within the range of ±0.5°C, and the pressure is also stably maintained within the range of ±0.05Bar.
