DTS and Austria's BFT reach strategic cooperation
Recently, DTS signed a cooperation agreement with BFT, a subsidiary of the Dr. Aichhorn Group in Austria. DTS officially became the exclusive authorized distributor of BFT's Delitec brand HPP ultra-high pressure sterilization equipment in China and Southeast Asia. This cooperation marks an important milestone in the development of both parties, signifying DTS's steady progress in its international expansion in the non-thermal sterilization equipment market, and will bring innovative, cost-effective sterilization solutions tailored to the local market to the food industry in China and Southeast Asia.
About Dr. Aichhorn Group and Delitech
I. Dr. Aichhorn Group
The Austrian Dr. Aichhorn Group is an industrial holding company headquartered in Kapfenberg. Its history dates back to 1894, boasting over 130 years of experience in high-pressure equipment manufacturing. It comprises three subsidiaries: BHDT, BFT, and GIG, specializing in high-pressure vessels and complete sets of equipment, high-pressure pumps, and high-temperature, high-pressure sealing technologies, respectively. With deep expertise in high-pressure technology and global business coverage, BHDT possesses mature industrial layout and project implementation experience in the European high-pressure equipment industry.
II. Three Major Subsidiaries
1. BHDT GmbH – High-Pressure Vessels and Equipment: Founded in 1958, BHDT was formerly the High-Pressure Technology Division of the Böhler Group. It specializes in the research and development and manufacturing of high-pressure vessels and complete sets of equipment, providing equipment adaptable to operating conditions from 200 to 1200 MPa (approximately 2000 to 12000 bar). It has implemented numerous projects in the global chemical and petrochemical high-pressure systems sector. The company headquarters is located in Bruck am Mur, Austria.
2. BFT GmbH – High-Pressure Pump Technology Research and Manufacturing: BFT GmbH, short for Best Fluid Technology GmbH, is a professional manufacturer of high-pressure equipment and core components under the Dr. Eichhorn Group. Its headquarters are located in Hönigsberg, Austria. The company was spun off from BHDT's high-pressure pump business unit and operates independently. With over 50 years of experience in high-pressure pump technology research and development, it can develop and produce pumps suitable for operating conditions from 2000 to 12000 bar. Its core business is divided into three main segments: high-pressure pumps and related components for the waterjet cutting industry, peroxide metering pumps for polyethylene production, and pressure testing equipment and automatic intensification equipment. Its products and services are sold to more than 20 countries and regions in Europe, Asia, North America, and South America (as of 2026). Leveraging mature engineering technology, it provides complete high-pressure fluid solutions, adhering to "Made in Austria" production standards.
3. GIG Karasek GmbH – High-Temperature and High-Pressure Sealing and Thermal Energy Technology Segment: GIG Karasek GmbH focuses on the research and development of high-temperature and high-pressure sealing components and industrial waste heat recovery systems. It has its own dedicated testing and R&D center, and its business covers complete sets of equipment for carbon dioxide recovery and industrial waste heat utilization. It can provide full-chain engineering services from prototype to EPC turnkey, possessing complete service capabilities for high-pressure sealing and thermal energy engineering from R&D to implementation and delivery.
III. Delitec – A Collaborative Innovation Brand within the Group
Delitec is an innovative brand under BFT, specializing in the design and manufacturing of HPP (High Pressure Processing) equipment. It creates complete sets of equipment that combine mature high-pressure technology with the cost advantages of localization. HPP is a low-temperature physical processing technology that utilizes high pressure (up to 6000 bar) to process food without high temperatures, better preserving the original taste, texture, and nutritional components of food, and extending its shelf life. Unlike traditional heat sterilization processes, it is widely applicable to various processing scenarios, including fresh produce and prepared foods.
Delitec originates from the group's medium- to long-term industrial plan, integrating decades of high-pressure vessel, high-pressure pump, and precision sealing technology reserves from its three subsidiaries: BHDT, BFT, and GIG, to jointly create complete HPP systems. The core units of the equipment all use BFT's high-pressure pump products, which have been validated in multiple market scenarios. Leveraging the group's cross-sectoral technological synergy, Delitec's HPP equipment has received positive feedback from numerous food companies after its launch in the European market.
This collaboration leverages Austria's century-long experience in industrial manufacturing to complement China's advanced equipment manufacturing capabilities. DTS has long been deeply involved in the food sterilization equipment market, accumulating a comprehensive network of channels, customer service systems, and integrated equipment deployment capabilities in China and Southeast Asia. Dr. Eichhorn Group, with over a century of experience in high-pressure technology, provides stable and reliable technical support for Delitech's HPP equipment.
Both parties will fully utilize their respective resources and technological advantages to introduce mature European HPP low-temperature physical processing technology to food companies in China and Southeast Asia, helping them optimize product processes and enhance product market value. DTS's non-thermal sterilization business will continue to promote HPP low-temperature processing solutions, expanding into diverse food application scenarios and helping end consumers obtain safer, more flavorful, and more nutritious food.
